One of Mandy's special interests is the paper industry, particularly efforts to encourage it to be more sustainable. She has just had an investigative article published in The Ecologist, telling the story of a small group of Italian eco-warriors in a legal dispute with a big paper company, who has been sourcing paper from rainforests in Indonesia. It's a David and Goliath confrontation, backed by a growing international solidarity campaign. Mandy joins other environmental activists who don't want to be gagged by the paper industry for speaking out about paper that is made from forest destruction.
