Poetry exhibition
Added on 29 January 2020
Not many poets get to have a solo exhibition in an art gallery, so I am super-excited that I will have an exhibition in the Sawyer Gallery at Inverewe Garden, opening on Saturday 2 May 2020. It's called 'Trees Meet Sea' and it will consist of 14 pieces of art - a mixture of sculpture, ceramics, paintings and fabric - made by some of my favourite artists. Each piece either responds to one of my poems, or I have written a poem in response to it. They are roughly half about trees and half about the sea, reflecting my ongoing wonder at the places where trees come down to the shore. I'm getting hugely excited by the idea of having all these beautiful works of art together.
More details will follow nearer the time, but if you can come along to the opening, you'll be very welcome. We'll no doubt have some fun in the garden. Put 2 May in your diary and see you there!
