A-B-Tree project secures funding
Mandy will be running a Scotland-wide creative writing project from September to November to celebrate the International Year of Forests.
The project, called A-B-Tree (or in Gaelic, A-B-Craobh), will celebrate the association between each letter of the Gaelic alphabet and a tree or shrub. This link between trees and writing will be explored through 18 creative events (one for each letter) in woodlands around Scotland.
The project has secured funding from the Scottish Forestry Commission, and it will involve other organisations, including Hi-Arts, The Woodland Trust, Trees for Life, Falkland Centre for Sustainability, Culag Community Woodland Trust, Abriachan Community Forest and the Royal EdinburghBotanic Gardens. There is still scope for more events so if you are interested, do get in touch with Mandy.
See the A-B-Tree page for details.
